We actively engage in a variety of public events throughout the year in and around St. Albans District with the purpose of promoting awareness about honey bees, beekeeping and more. Our stalls are operated by dedicated Association members, ready to answer any questions you may have.
We offer hive products for sale, including honey and beeswax items (availability may vary), and showcase our observation hive, providing a fascinating glimpse into the vibrant world of a live honey bee colony. The observation hive is especially popular with children who delight in the opportunity to spot the queen!
Our annual Herts Show Exhibit also features a live bee demonstration and a bee experience walkthrough – a cinematic glimpse into the inner workings of a hive.

An observation hive is a specially designed beehive with clear panels that allow people to safely watch honey bees as they go about their daily lives.The hive is fully enclosed, keeping bees contained while providing a unique educational experience.
Our live bee demonstration is a presentation where a beekeeper introduces audiences to real honey bees in a safe, controlled setting. By placing a fine mesh net between the bees and the public, we can demonstrate a real-time hive inspection up close.
Buy honey, lip balm, hand cream, candles and other hive products (all subject to availability).
We have several information boards displaying a range of honey bee and beekeeping related insights for members of the public to peruse.
